Danish nanosatellites-specialized space company GomSpace, which implemented in Luxembourg back in 2017, appointed Carsten Drachmann as new Luxembourg Managing Director – taking effect today.

Initially CEO of the tech startup Zero Error Systems PTE LTD in Singapore, Carsten Drachmann has extensive global experience as CEO and Senior Executive in both well-established companies and start-ups in the space, IT, and SatCom sectors.

“I am immensely proud to have been part of the journey in GomSpace and I would like to thank the board, the management team, all the employees, and not least the founders, for their support throughout the years.” – Niels Buus, former CEO (GomSpace)

Niels Buus, former GomSpace, leaves his seat to Carsten Drachmann to “head towards new challenges”. New CEO Drachmann will be charged with executing the 2030 strategy, as well as leading GomSpace into the next phase.

“We are very pleased to welcome Carsten Drachmann as CEO. Carsten has a solid track record of creating growth in tech companies. Together with the rest of the management team, Carsten will execute on the strategy and product investment program following the planned rights issue.” – Jukka Pertola, Chairman of the Board (GomSpace)

On his side, Carsten Drachmann commented his excitement to start in this new position, and to work “with the rest of the management team and the many dedicated and skilled employees to unleash the great potential of Gompace in a growing market”.
