Known today as one of the most influential voices of the financial community, the Luxembourg Finance Awards’ Ceremony has been spurring the efforts and dedication of the whole marketplace in Luxembourg since 2009. After much deliberation, the jury members had the daunting task of naming:
KnowThyBrand CEO Giulia Iannucci as the Inspirational Women in Finance, for all the initiatives she has created over the years to champion gender inclusion and empower women in business ;
LUXHUB as the FinTech Solution of the Year, following the launch of its open banking-powered payments’ solution, “Trusted Corporate Pay”, providing both private and public institutions with a new payment experience, secure and flexible ;
Ume Luxembourg as the RegTech Solution of the Year, after creating a unique due diligence platform serving the largest ecosystem of investment managers and distributors in the industry ;
RBC Investor Services Bank S.A as the Finance Team of the Year, following the successful migration and integration of RBC Investor & Treasury Services Luxembourg’ s custody and banking operating systems, processes and people onto RBC Group’s operating model ;
Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative for its Outstanding Contribution to the Financial Centre of Luxembourg, always working on new projects to further raise awareness and help the financial industry in its transition towards sustainability ;
Badenoch + Clark for its Finance Talent Sourcing Solution, supporting companies in finding the right talent through a specific search and selection process, suited to the local market ;
Fundvis S.A. as the Most Promising Financial Startup, providing an interoperable B2B Platform to digitize all fund-related processes and enable cross-industry communication, coordination and cooperation.
In his welcome words, Luxembourg for Finance Deputy CEO Philipp von Restorff gave an inspiring speech on markets’ volatility, thereby reminding the importance of risk management before taking the plunge and investing in new technology. He also thanked his team – for always giving their best – and CEO Nicolas Mackel for actively promoting Luxembourg abroad as one of the best financial places in the world, as well as its continuous efforts in training, attracting and retaining talent.
This year, the awards’ ceremony was also the opportunity for Farvest to take a stand for a good cause and highlight the missions of NGO Iles de Paix, funded in 1965 by Nobel Peace prize-winner Dominique Pire.
We could not think of a better way for this evening to start.
